What are Bully “Hot Spots”?









Hot spots are those areas where the bullies like to hang out.  They are usually places that an administrator, parent or teacher can not see them clearly.  It is usually areas of transition like hallways, restrooms, playgrounds, etc.  Identifying these areas will help the child to avoid some of the bullying behavior of others.


Here are some likely areas of Bullying or harassment:

  • On the way to and from school;
  • Restrooms;
  • Hallways;
  • Classrooms;
  • Gymnasiums;
  • Cafeteria;
  • Playground;
  • Bus stop;
  • Locker rooms
  • On the bus
