Christy Jackson
5th Degree Black Belt

Christy Jackson is a Chief Instructor and School Owner of Coppell ATA Training Academy and Coppell AMA.  She is a Certified Instructor in Traditional Taekwondo and Protech (weapons) with the American Taekwondo Association (ATA). She is also a certified SHARP instructor (Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention). She is currently working with school administrators from the Coppell ISD, members of the Coppell Police Department and members of the Coppell City Council to develop and implement an anti-bully campaign and increase our health and fitness for our communities. She has over 14 years experience working with special needs students of all ages. Ms. Jackson currently holds the Title of 2005 National Champion in traditional weapons and the Title of 2008 World Champion in ATA X-treme weapons. and current 2015 District Champion in traditional weapons  Ms. Jackson has been working with the students of Coppell ATA for over 12 years.


Emily Blanton
4th Degree Black Belt

Emily Blanton is a Certified Instructor with the American Taekwondo Association and . She is the Head Instructor and Co-owner  of Coppell ATA Training Academy.  Emily is married and has a son and one expected in early February..  She currently holds the 2006 title of Weapons World Champ.




Katelyn Jackson
3rd Degree Black Belt

Katelyn currently greets all our students and parents at the Coppell ATA & Karate For Kids front counter, She is also instructs the Advanced Tigers and WOY Juniors.  She will happily answer any questions that you may have about our programs or events. She graduated from The Colony High School.  She is currently a Junior at the University of North Texas.  She is studying History and enjoys reading.


Trace Megellas
3rd Degree Black Belt

Trace  is the creator of the TForceElite Team26 time Creative and Extreme Weapon and Open Hand World Champion in four leagues (ATA, NBL, BASKA/The League, USKA and Purple Dragon) • Competed Nationally and Internationally (United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay, Guatemala and Peru) • 2011 & 2012 ESPN Martial Arts Invitational Tournament Creative Weapon overall Champion– Televised World Wide • Good Morning America Interview – 2 times • Preformed at American Airlines Sky Ball with 3,000 in attendance twice for the US Marines and the US Army • Numerous Martial Art magazine and Star Telegram Newspaper stories and bios • Named The League Martial Artist of The Year • Certified Martial Arts Instructor.  He teaches weekly the xtreme and creative classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Paige Bantum
3rd Degree Black Belt

Paige is a multi-talented athlete and one of the founding members of TForce Elite, from Las Vegas, Nevada, who participates in 3 different  sports.  She is a martial artist, a competitive cheerleader, and a dancer. Paige started martial arts at the young age of 3 and has been studying the art of taekwondo for 16 years.   Over these 15 years, Paige has managed to win 22 world champion titles, and 38 state titles all in traditional forms and weapons, extreme forms and weapons and creative forms and weapons. As you can see, Paige is a very well rounded competitor and martial artist. Something interesting about Paige is that she has won a weapons title with 3 different weapons (Bo, Kamas and Chucks)!  Paige teaches with Trace the xtreme and creative classes at Coppell ATA, as well as her Mom Kim’s ATA in Las Vegas, when she is home.

Dylan Joseph                                            3rd Degree Black Belt


Dylan is the current World Champion in both Xtreme and Creative Weapons.  He has been training with Coppell ATA Martial Arts since he was 5 years old.  He assists with all classes.  He is a true inspiration to all students.  He is currently a sophomore at Coppell High School.



Johnny Bamburg                                                  1st Degree Black Belt Recommended

Mr. Bamburg helps lead our Kali training.  He loves working with the bladed weapons.  He will be testing for his Black Belt decided in a couple of weeks.  He is currently getting certified with the Lighting Scientific Arnis under the instruction of Master Jon Escudero and Master Robert Montifar.
